While thinking about this, I remembered something very important. Although data science is relatively new to me, I am very well versed in the world of communication and creative storytelling. So, putting on my creative hat, I started looking for a new way to create a resume that would quickly demonstrate technical data visualization skills in a natural and clear way.
It’s pretty simple, but I compiled the entire resume using the matplotlib library in Python. It’s basically an 8.5 x 11 chart with no axes and no info, but some graphical lines and lots of annotations.
It’s pretty straightforward to compile, but it shows proficiency in Python and the ability to communicate creatively. Perhaps more importantly, it makes writing a resume more fun and less intimidating.
