The idea for the story CV came from the founder’s own work experience. Like many job applicants, Andrea Martins was a talented applicant with a good reputation. But as I have said before, that alone is not always enough.
After taking parental leave and living abroad for nine years, Andrea struggled to get noticed at work. When I spoke to Andrea, she explained that although she was normally a confident extrovert, this meant that she lost her confidence, questioned her self-worth and began to suffer from low self-esteem.
When Andrea was finally offered a job, she said she accepted it out of desperation. But it turned out to be the wrong job for her, and she resigned after a few months to figure out her next best move.
Outcome? Frustrated with the whole process, Andrea decided to try something different this time. She turned her resume into ten slides and found an illustrator to bring it to life.
