What Your Resume Should Look Like In 2020
Tell the employer your name and contact information at the top of the page in a clear format. Note that the headers of your resume, cover letter, and reference list should be identical.
Your name should be big and bold. If you would like to be known by a nickname, you can put it in brackets like this: Victoria (Tori) Johnson.
The summary section is your best opportunity to grab the employer’s attention by highlighting why you are a good fit for the job. In 4-6 bullet points, briefly summarize your qualifications and attributes as they relate to the specific job you are applying for.
Note: Do not use objective statements! These are redundant (they already know your goal is to get a job with them) and have been out of date since at least 2008.
