This article focuses on the first one, because regardless of which route you choose to get an interview, basically every company uses your CV as a basis for evaluation. So we’re going to put my resume under the microscope and focus on learning how to write a remarkable resume.
Getting an interview through an online application is extremely difficult because your resume has to go through several stages before it gets into the hands of a hiring manager.
It has to bypass online keyword filters, stand out to a recruiter who looks at it for about 6 seconds, and meet the expectations of the hiring manager who decides if you’re worth interviewing.

The main purpose of a CV is to briefly highlight your knowledge, skills and achievements. You want to include things on your resume that you’re proud of, but also things that will impress. Now back to your GPA. It should be pretty obvious if your GPA is impressive. If your GPA is below 3.0, don’t include it on your resume. There is nothing wrong with leaving your GPA off your resume if it only hurts your chances.

Bottom Line: Your GPA doesn’t define you. The purpose of your resume is to present yourself in the best possible light. Never forget it! Be creative when doing this and DON’T LIE.
If you’re a college student with no experience, fear not! This was my senior year resume when I applied for a full-time job. I was lucky enough to have some relevant work experience from a summer internship, but it’s not absolutely necessary to get an interview.
