A friend or family member can cover the second base, but make sure you trust them with the full inspection. You can include an obvious error to see if they catch it.
Finally, you can hire a professional editor on Upwork. It should not take them more than 15-20 minutes to review so it is worth paying a little more for someone with high ratings and many hours.
Mistake #2: Content is too long and formal. Many resumes include content that includes a sentence explaining why they are a “driven, results-oriented team player.” When hiring managers see a block of text at the top of a resume, you can bet they won’t read it all. If they turn it off and read something similar to the sentence above, they will put it on the site.
Solution: Details are important, but they should be in bullet form and present your best experience for the role. Think of them as a summary – the Top 10 Parks of your needs – not a summary of who you are and what you’re looking for.
